Cookies & Storage Technologies Notice

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This notice explains cookies, local storage and similar technologies used by MERKURI. UK PECR applies broadly to technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user's device; it is not limited to traditional cookies.

3.1 Categories

3.2 Analytics choice

Optional Event Hub analytics is not pre-enabled. If you choose Accept Analytics, the Event Hub analytics storage described above may be used. If you choose Reject Analytics or dismiss the request, the optional analytics remains off.

3.3 Changing preferences

Use the Analytics preferences control in the Event Hub footer at any time. Turning analytics off stops future optional analytics immediately and initiates the withdrawal process described in the Privacy Notice.

3.4 Browser controls

You can also clear or block browser storage using your browser settings. Doing so may remove a stored analytics or deletion proof. If a deletion proof is removed before a pending withdrawal reaches MERKURI, we may no longer be able to selectively identify the corresponding pseudonymous records; the normal retention limits will still apply.

3.5 Service technologies

WordPress uses service and authentication storage for authorised administration. These functions are separate from optional Event Hub analytics. If additional storage technologies are introduced, this notice will be updated to explain their purposes and lifetimes.
